Which taxonomic group includes more similar organisms, an order or a family?

Taxonomy is the classification of living things. Organisms are initially grouped into five categories called kingdoms. Organisms are placed into a particular kingdom based on broadly similar characteristics.

Each kingdom is then broken down into more specific groups called phyla. All of the organisms in the same phylum are more similar to one another than all of the organisms in a kingdom.

Each class is broken down into more specific groups called orders. All of the organisms in the same order are more similar to one another than all of the organisms in a class.

Each order is broken down into more specific groups called families. All of the organisms in the same family are more similar to one another than all of the organisms in an order.

Each family is broken down into more specific groups called genera. Each genus can then be broken down into more specific groups called species
