A factory owner and a factory worker could see communism very differently. A factory owner would most likely be against communism. Factory owners want to be able to make their own decisions with little influence and regulation by the government. In a communist economy, factory owners might lose their factories. They could have their freedom to make many decisions restricted or decided by the government. There would likely be a lot of government rules, regulations, and controls. Profits might be limited also. Many of the benefits of owning a factory could disappear under the communist system.
A factory worker might be more likely to support communism. They could see the communist system as a way to level the playing field between the factory owners and the factory workers. They might see this system as an opportunity to get fair wages and some of their basic needs covered by the government. Communism often appeals to people who are struggling economically. These people often don’t have much money and have trouble making ends meet in terms of providing for basic needs like food and shelter. In a communist system, the government may provide for those needs.
It is possible that factory workers might be against having a communist system. If there was no incentive to work hard and to be able to better a person’s position in life, they might not support the communist system. Workers want the opportunity to make more money and to be promoted to better jobs. If those opportunities aren’t available in the communist system, workers might not be so supportive of communism.
